While this page does not include all of the dogs that have been in our lives, it does include some of the "special ones" from the past 25 years!
"Eva" is one of the my favorite Kotzebue girls we bred. She was Queen of the House and Kennel for a long time.
"Cole" was the last pure Kotzebue alive, and we were saddened at his passing. He is Nadia's sire, and we do have him collected. He was a "little" dog with a "big" attitude and he is dearly missed.
"Chinook" came to us from a wonderful family who could not keep him on their farm. He was stealing all of the eggs!!! We were excited to get this boy, as he went back to the Sno-Pak line of dogs. He is behind our young bitch, Nadia and she has much of his attitude!
Ch N'Point's New Dimension...Kiara was given to Tricia by Joyce Bowman. Although not a pure Kotzebue, she easily finished her championship and produced a litter of puppies sired by Chinook. Kiara and Tricia were soulmates of sort--she was diagnosed with diabetes three years before her death, leaving us for the Rainbow Bridge at age 12. She is missed!
Corey was Tricia's "heart dog", and he will always be the first dog she thinks of. Her first bred-by champion beagle, first group placer at less than 10 months of age, and first group winner, this is a dog who had always owned the ring. He was brought out on a very limited basis to finish his Grand Championship in AKC, and he finished this title with all four and five point major awards. He was brought out for "fun" in UKC in 2012 as a 10 year old veteran; he ended the year ranked #3 and was only defeated twice in the shows he attended! Corey will always be number one :)
Ernie was a star from the first time he stepped in the ring. Along the way to his AKC championship, he obtained a Best Bred By in Show, three Puppy Group 1s, and more than one win under respected breeder-judges. He first received a UKC Best in Show award at the age of 10 months, and he won several UKC Best in Shows, Reserve Best in Shows, and Best of the Best in Shows. In Canada, he was shown on a very limited basis, simply to complete his championship; he won a Group 1, Group 2, and Group 4 along the way! We lost Ernie far too soon.
Ch Someday Till Manhattan Calls, CD...Manny was the ultimate show dog!! He picked up two five point majors his first weekend out, finishing from the puppy class with group placements along the way. He enjoyed retirement with Mike Humphries, who put a CD on him for fun! He was our first "big winning beagle" and he is missed.
